What’s it Like in the Ogueh household?
Welcome! In todayβs blog, weβre diving into what itβs really like living in my home during the holidays. From the quiet mornings when everyoneβs slowly preparing for the day, to the quiet evenings filled with laughter and family bonding time.
Life is all about learning new things and capturing the fun moments. Iβm a teen blogger in a family of five, and trust me, thereβs never a dull moment! Between sibling banter, inside jokes, and the little everyday dramas, thereβs always something worth sharing. This blog is my safe space to tell stories, share funny moments, and maybe give you a peek into what growing up in a family of 5 feels like.
If youβve ever wondered what life is like in a big, loud, and loving family or if you just want to read something fun, youβre in the right place!

Mornings: Slow but Steady…

Mornings during the holiday are very slow-paced. Not much happens, I mean, it’s the holidays. We typically wake up between 9-10 am because my mom insists we should prepare our minds for school as it’s less than 2 weeks away. I agree but I don’t like the subtle reminders that school is almost back in session.
I ‘m excited to see my friends but also partially nervous for the amount of school work I’m going to receive. Mornings during the holidays are quiet and serene filled with calm energy radiating off the walls. My parents aren’t in a rush to get ready for work and everyone is just taking the day on stress free.
Mornings over the holidays are my favourite times because there’s no rush to do anything. I’m free to sleep in after getting ready for the day or I can tune into my favourite show on Netflix.

Afternoons

Similar to mornings, we don’t really do much in the afternoons. Usually, a family friend would come over and we’d play or watch a movie together. Or, if we’re lucky, on the weekends, we could even go out for lunch or go see a movie!
I really enjoy going out with my family. It doesn’t matter where, I just enjoy the car ride there and back. I’m either listening to music on the way there or talking to my mom or dad about any random topic I can come up with.
Afternoons during the holiday are a pretty fun time because you really never know what to expect.

Evenings

We’ve finally made it to my favourite part of the day: The evening.
Not much happens here, we simply just prepare dinner together and eat while watching a show or just talking about the type of day we had after which we clear up the table and wash the dishes. We get a couple hours of screen time before it’s Lights Out.
My bedtime is a little later than my sisters because I’m older so I use this time to settle into bed and call it a day.

And, that’s a wrap!

Thanks for tuning in to today’s blog on My family life.
Of course, everyday is different. This was just a simple summary of the kind of days we have over the holidays and I think it’s a pretty accurate summary.
Thanks so much for reading and as always drop your thoughts and opinions in the comment section regarding this blog. I’d love to hear what your family life is like!
